Nerodil is indicated to treat acute inflammatory processes of arthritic, neuritic or non-articular rheumatic origin, such as: bursitis, tendinitis, synovitis, fasceitis, arthritis and radiculitis, sciatic neuralgia, torticollis and trauma.
Properties
Nerodil is a combination of the most important neurotropic factors of the B complex with dexamethasone.
Dexamethasone is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory steroids known, with the minimum of salt and water retention effects.
It is effectively absorbed when administered orally as dexamethasone base with an availability of 14% – 78% and 2.6% is excreted in the urine. It binds to plasma proteins in 68%, with a half-life of 3-4 hours and a biological half-life of 36 to 54 hours. Due to its increased anti-inflammatory action, dexamethasone blocks inflammatory disorders that occur in neuromuscular disorders. Another outstanding pharmacological characteristic of dexamethasone is its sustained therapeutic action of up to 72 hours duration.
Finally, the neurotropic, antalgic and antineuritic action of vitamins B1, B6 and B12, is associated with the anti-inflammatory action of dexamethasone giving us a product with a powerful therapeutic spectrum.

Contraindications
Viral or bacterial infections, gastric and duodenal ulcer, hypertension, pregnancy, diabetes, systemic mycoses, immuno-suppressed.
Drug interactions
With cardiac glycosides, saluretics, oral antidiabetics, coumarin derivatives, salicylates, rifampicin, adrenaline and L-dopa.
Side effects
Fluid retention, full moon face, hirsutism, irritability.

Posology
1-2 tablets every 8 hours for 5-7 days. After the acute symptoms subside, it is recommended to continue treatment with Dolotrop-K orally for an additional 2-3 weeks.
